This day would be the longest day on the Camino Primitivo for me. I would walk 46km with 3000ft ascent and 2700ft descent. The stretch of the "hospital" route runs along a remote (no water, nothing) mountain ridge line for 30km. It is the most scenic part of the Primitivo. Most pilgrims don't go the 'hospital' route because of the distance without accommodation. They do a much more tame version but without most of the great views. I didn't come all this way to settle for hind tit!
